Notariusz funkcjonował w oparciu o wprowadzoną "ustawę" z dnia 4.08. 1808 r. i reskrypt Ministra Sprawiedliwości z dnia 23 .05.1808 r. Do jego zadań należało sporządzanie aktów dobrej woli zawieranych przez strony, takich jak: akta kupna-sprzedaży, umowy, zapisy, cesje, legaty, intercyzy przedślubne, pełnomocnictwa itp. Kancelaria istniała w latach 1827-1846.
