Create your collections to freely group selected scans according to your own key.

  1. How to create a collection:
    • go to the "Collections" tab in the profile;
    • click the "Add new folder" button. A window will then open where you can enter the name of the collection.
  2. How to add materials to your collection:
    • click on a selected scan;
    • in the bar on the right, click the "Add to collection" button;
    • from the list select the collection where you want to place the scan and click on it;
    • click on the "Add to folder" icon at the top - a message displayed within the scan will tell you that the slide has been added to your collection.
  3. You can also add scans to your collection from the file page:
    • select which scans you want to add to the collection;
    • click on "Add to collection."

      By clicking on the button "Add file to collection" you can save all scans of a given file in the collection as a separate subcollection.

  4. You can also create a collection from the slide level:
    • in the bar on the right, click the "Add to collection" button;
    • enter the folder icon with a plus;
    • create a new folder giving it a title;
    • click on the newly created folder;
    • click on the "Add to folder" field. The message " Scan added to folder " will appear on the scan preview.

      ​​​Note - the system automatically places the slides in the collection in the order according to the material reference code (ascending).
       
  5. From the panel in your account, through the "Collections" tab in the top bar, you can enter the folder of the collection that has already been created and add descriptions to it:
    • click on the "Edit data" field
    • add a description of the material.
  6. You can also add tags to your collection there using the "Add another tag" field.
  7. There you can also publish your collection on Search the Archives - just move the slider in the "Public Collection" icon. Then the material collected by you will be visible to all website users in the "Browse collections" tab, available from the Search the Archives homepage.
