About the Creator:
Kościół katolicki w Kobułtach zbudowano w 1409 r. Parafia ewangelicka powstała tutaj w połowie XVI w. W 1579 r. pastorem był Johann Lichtenstein. Nabożeństwa odbywały się co niedzielę po polsku, a co drugą-po niemiecku. W 1912 r. parafia liczyła 2409 wiernych, w tym rzekomo 1000 Mazurów. Na jej obszarze działało 8 szkół.
