The collection contains correspondence between Zygmunt Zaremba and members of the Polish Socialist Party (P.P.S) Foreign Committee in London, original publications of W.R.N., and weekly news reports published by Zaremba, 1940-1944. There are also personal papers and correspondence of Zygmunt Zaremba with Polish Socialist leaders: Alojzy Adamczyk, Tomasz Arciszewski, Adam Ciolkosz, Feliks Gross, Jan Kwapinski, Feliks Mantel and Waclaw Zagorski and members of the International Socialist movement. In the series Political Papers are also resolutions, reports, and publications of the Polish Socialist Party abroad, materials on underground movement in Poland and the Warsaw Uprising (1944), persecutions of Polish socialist leaders in Poland (1948), materials on the Polish Socialist Party Congresses in exile and radio scripts for Radio Free Europe and Voice of America. 1. Unordnung űber das wirtschaftliche Leben in den bezetzten Gebieten Zarządzenie nr 1 w sprawie życia gospodarczego na obszarach okupowanych Dowódcy Wojsk Wschodniopruskich Szefa Administracji Cywilnej. Ogłoszone przez Starostę powiatu Węgrów 18 października 1939 Zarządzenie nakazuje, aby wszystkie przedsiębiorstwa rozpoczęły natychmiast pracę. Starostowie są upoważnieni do zakazania ponownego otwarcia poszczególnych przedsiębiorstw, mają też prawo powołać każdego mieszkańca do robót. Podaje do wiadomości, że konfiskuje się wszelkie surowce i półfabrykaty oraz węgiel, zakazuje gromadzenia zapasów żywności, wprowadza bony konsumpcyjne na wyroby włókiennicze, skórzane, mydło, kawę i herbatę.

Rozporządzenie Starosty Powiatowego. Verordnung des Landrats. Węgrów 14 października 1939 r. Rozporządzenie normuje zasady administrowania powiatem podczas okupacji. Informuje, że wszystkie funkcjonujące i nowo powołane zarządy pracują jako komisaryczne. Wprowadza się zakaz wywozu poza teren powiatu wszelkich produktów spożywczych, zboża i jego przetworów, bydła, świń. ustala się ceny i wysokość świadczeń na poziomie z 1 stycznia 1939 roku, monetą obiegową jest złoty. Likwidacja i powoływanie sklepów podlega Staroście. Obowiązuje zakaz ruchu po drogach w godzinach 7 wieczór- 5 rano, zakaz zgromadzeń, polowania, posiadania broni (należy ją oddać do Starostwa do 20 października 1939 roku). Do tej daty powinni zostać zarejestrowani b. wojskowi oraz nieruchomości w posiadaniu Żydów. Wykonanie rozporządzeń należy do wójtów (burmistrzów).
